“He spun me, my Daddy spun me!” This was yelled by a young princess on the way out of the dance.  The first annual My Princess & Me Dance was a HUGE success. Everyone in attendance had a great time, and more importantly, almost 200 girls felt like the princesses that they truly are. The bond between a girl and her father-figure can be strengthened immensely by a simple act.

More than 345 princesses and father-figures attended the event. We were not prepared for such a great turnout to the point that registration had to be closed and some had to be turned away.  It just shows how ready father figures in the Sacramento area are to step up and make a difference.  The 2013 My Princess & Me Dance was truly AMAZING, but we are not done, the 2014 version is going to be epic!!!

The My Princess & Me Dance 2014 will be a night in Paris. We will try to bring all the glamour and style of Paris to Sacramento in early February.

Tickets

Since we are so far in advance of the event, all ticket information is tentative and subject to change.
Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Tickets go on sale December 2013.
The cost will be:

  • $35 per couple
  • $10 for each extra princess
  • $15 for each extra father figure

Father-Daughter Relationship

The statistics of absent father figures are staggering. In the Sacramento area, around 40% of all children have little or no relationship with a father figure. This affects girls in a very serious manner.

Daughters of un-involved father figures are: 
  • 53% more likely to marry as teenagers
  • 71% more likely to have children as teenagers
  • 92% more likely to get divorced
In general, daughters of un-involved father figures are more likely to:
  • be depressed
  • commit suicide
  • runaway
  • have a behavior disorder
  • dropout of high school
  • use drugs & alcohol

It is very important to note that data proves you do not have to be a girls actual father, a positive father figure can be anyone; father, uncle, cousin, grandfather, family friend, neighbor, anyone!
